About Seat Maker
Seat Maker turns seating charts from a spreadsheet chore into something you can finish on a phone. Hosts import a guest list from Contacts or a CSV file, lay out tables that match the real venue, and drag guests into place. Seats that cannot move get locked, the rest can be shuffled to test combinations, and the finished plan exports as an image, a PDF, or a QR code for venue staff. Everything works offline, which matters at venues where service is unreliable on the day of the event.
The app is used for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, banquets and galas, corporate dinners, birthday parties and showers, conferences, and classroom seating. It was built by Austin Frankel after watching a family wedding seating plan get rebuilt by hand one too many times.
