Decide what cannot move
Before shuffling, lock VIPs, accommodations, host seats, and tables that are already approved.
Shuffle in passes
Try a shuffle, review the result, lock any improved placements, then try another pass if needed. This is faster than judging one perfect shuffle.
Finish by hand
A final seating plan should be reviewed by a human. Drag and drop the last few guests into place once the broad pattern is good.
