History - The Estate was founded in the late 1800s and originally named for the five mighty trees on the front lawn. Five Oaks soon boasted a barn, carriage house, boathouse, and formal gardens. The two interior fireplaces were created with stones from around the world. The estate was operating as a dining establishment when purchased in 1961 and was sold after the second owner’s passing in 2003. Under its new ownership, it gained popularity as a wedding and events venue on Lake Chippewa's shores.
